In tyhe process of trying to fill my skills buttesment in but really struggling with all the certificates and proof they seem to need. I am in IT and have worked for Barclays since leaving school. As with most big companies nearly all of my training I have done has been internally or by the person I sit next to etc, therefore I have no actaul proof of all my skills other than the fact that I do that job!!
Has anybody else been in a similar position? I have tons of IT skills and experience with a large company but don't have pieces of paper to prove it, and not sure Barclays would be too forthcoming in helping me if they knew I was planning on doing one across the other side of the World.
Plus after reading posts on here and on the lifestyle forum it seems once you get in to Oz your experience doesnt count for anything anyway so why all this messing about? you would have thought that as I had been in work for a large company for 17 years and doing IT there for 12 years that would be proof enough of my skills!
Any help or advice would be useful.
