You do not mention your age, fairly critical to get the points. My feeling is you will have to investigate the Send Visa as a starting point. On this visa you will need to check if your skills are wanted. If no good here you maybe able to look in to a Aussie company sponsering you in a position they can not fill in Aus. In regards to your health condition, to give you an ideal of the thinking of the Aussie goverment, my mate migrated to Perth 5 years ago with one leg (lost in motorbike accident in UK) before they would accept him he had to sign an agreement that the Aus Gov would take no responsibilty for any health problems stemming from his leg (or lack of leg) such as back problems, False legs (can not spell phostetic !) etc etc this was his experience which he was happy to accept, as he appreciated the the Goverment did not want to import financial burdens. Why not get on the aussie goverment website and find the page you can do a points check with all the diffrent visa,s, can not remember the aussi gov site, but google will find it. it is something like www.immi.gov.au, and certainly a lot of your questions would be answered on this site

The process varies on the visa you are applying for, my visa is a business visa and takes approx 6 to 9 months, not sure about the other visa,s

What I have done, bearing in mind the importance of such a move is employed the services of an Immigration Agent. Expensive, but I have found invaluable, if you need a good one let me know. I have found they are happy to advise on the best route forward, but after a while the info dries up a bit untill you sign up and pay some monies ! fair enough eh ?
