Just a note from someone who is currently in Australia on a 457visa....
WARNING!!!!!
This visa is dead simple to apply for... google or search seek.com.aufor a job, email as many people as you can and arrange a trip over..the whole process took me 3 weeks and cost me the 9700.00 rand returnticket to Australia plus 170.00 AUD for the online visa application atimmi.gov.au.
There are many sharks out there who would have you believe this is ahugely complex thing to do.. and will rip you off i n a second, myfamily and i paid 17500 rand to just such a slick operator and all wehave to show for it our police clearance certificates and our birthcertificates... After waiting forever for the company to do anything ortheir recruitment office to find me work i decided to do it myself.. andlo and behold, simple as pie....
PLEASE PLEASE read www.immi.gov.au before you fork over any money tocertain ummmm "network migration" service companies.. not that imdropping any names here... as once you pay them and they do stuff allfor you , you end up doing it yourself and finding out that they willno longer reimburse you your funds that they did nothing to earn...
any one who needs info on migrating to Aussie on a subclbutt 457 visafeel free to mail me, its not as complex or difficult to do as some"migration network" companies would have you believe... (i filled in myforms in under an hour online, paid by credit card and was onboard in 2months.
