Thank you very much for your encouraging words. As you might have gathered from the family situation, money is very tight. We live in a low paid area & he drives 100 miles to work & the same back every day because there are no computer jobs in our locale. The area is also very slowly getting onto broadband, but the company doesn't allow home working because of the secrecy factor - they are heavily into development for release at regular intervals. Anyway, the point of that ramble is to say that if we pay agents fees I know we are going to be really short of money for travelling & settling at the other end. Does anyone know how difficult it is to fill in all the forms & get all the information right first time? We can't afford to have to go through it all 2 or 3 times either. Could anyone point me in the right direction for some easy to understand information that will put us on the right path? Preferably free? It isn't a matter of being tight or anything, just that the only money we have is tied up in his house & that still has a third of the mortgage to run. very much.
