I thank people for their advice, but i think you may not understand exactly what i am asking. The path i am already on will, unless nursing disappears from the MODL, lead to me being eligable to apply for pr on completion of my degree. This is a path i researched as thoroughly as possible before taking the leap. I left a good secure job as a firefighter in the UK to pursue our dream. But i am here looking for an opinion to something that was mentioned to me by my boss at the place i work part time. I have no intention of risking what i have at the moment by following a path to nowhere. It was suggested that as i am already working in a position which could not be filled locally, that maybe if my employer sponsored me i may be able to approach DIMMI and seek to obtain pr through this route. i came here to sound out what people may think of the idea, but i am quite happy to carry on at uni for another 2 years to gain my degree. Just a thought as it would save me a lot of time and money. Once again, thanks for the replies and i hope you take this post in the intention it, and the previous posts by me were meant. I would appreciate anyones thoughts on the situation, and as i said at the beginning of my post...i know its a long shot, but 2 years ago i would have said my chances of getting to Aus were a long shot also Ian
