Hi there,
s374A Public Interest Certificates 276Heretic Yes, I think that's it. interesting thing about litigation - sometimes the other side - even DIMA - make mistakes. Important enough for the Minister to sign a s375Acertificate...
Congratulations on being accepted to your course. To be in Australia by the end of July you will need to start the process as soon as possible - 2 months isn't very much time to get your police clearances and health examinations.
Depending on the specifics of your course (length of time in Australia, etc...) you may benefit from proposed changes that will allow students to live and work in Australia for 12-24 months (the exact time period hasn't been announced yet) after they complete their studies. You can use this period to accumulate the work experience needed to apply for a General Send Migration visa or to gain sponsorship from an Australian company.
In terms of finding work in Sydney, it is probably easier for you to do this once you are in Sydney. Please note that if you are successful in gaining a student visa you will need to apply for permission to work (20 hours per week) once you are in Australia. Generally, employers will be more receptive if you have permission to work than if you are contacting them from overseas with no visa.
You may benefit from doing a hypothetical buttessment of the points you score in the General Send Migration points test to see if you will have enough points to apply once you finish your course (of course the system could change in the future so you can't be certain).
Best of luck and feel free to contact me if you have more questions.
Kind regards,
