Late RRV Renewal & Partner De facto Advice 538
I am looking for the following advice on the following and the *-best way to providepresent my paperworkproof-* before applying and filling out any forms, or renewing an expired Resident Return...

Hi there Thanks everyone for your replies and sorry for not getting back earlier...

So Andrew, I'm a Brazilian Biologist (with a Management and Conservation Graduate Diploma as well) who has work for a while back in my home country (but less than the 2 years minimum required by the occupations I could nominate. Moreover, I've been now living in NZ for one year, where I've been working with something else since then). Actually, this lack of experience is the only reason why I was considering the idea of studying a Vocational course in Australia.

Therefore, I was looking for a TAFE course (such as Diploma of Environmental Management or Diploma of Conservation and Land Management) expecting that I would be able to apply for a residence nominating one of the positions: Environmental Research Scientist (2114-11), Environmental, Parks and Landcare Manager (1299-17), Forester (2114-13) or Park Ranger (2114-15), all currently stated at the Send Occupation List (SOL) published by the Australian Government. However, I found out later that all of these positions are under the VETbuttES rules, which means that they expect you to have at least a degree (and not only a Diploma), because they are only 50 points occupations...

So, I started considering the idea of studying a similar course on a Master degree basis (which is more expensive, but at least upgrades my background) and I later found out that again it would not be possible to nominate one of those occupations because, according to the rules of "Send Migrants - Independent Overseas Students (under subclbutt 880)", this occupation should be a 60 points (or 50, but only if the overseas student has completed a PhD in Australia).

I think that the professional fee should be balanced against the amount of service and support that you are actually getting from the agent. There are agents...
