A "Stat Dec" (Statutory Declaration) is a legal document that is witnessed as a "true" statement by a solicitor. You should use it to declare anything you cannot directly backup with evidence. We used it for the following:
1. Detailed job description & skills learnt at a company that no longer holds personnel records for hubby (it was 20 yrs ago) backed up with a letter from the company stating that they cannot buttist us
2. Detailed job description & skills learnt at a company that no longer holds personnel records for hubby (it was 15 yrs ago) backed up with a letter from the company stating that they cannot buttist us
3. Detailed job description & skills hubby learnt at a company that no longer exists, backed up with a report from Companies House stating when it was dissolved
4. A full & complete list of all equipment hubby has been trained on & is qualified to use
5. An explaination of a short period of unemployment my hubby had in 1994 for 4 months.
