Yes i wrote them, asked them if i coulkd havce a ref that i would take the time to write,m and book an appointment for them to look overf it and see if it was all tre before putting it on a letterhead, i had to make a letterhead a couplke of times as they only had business cards for the business, so i took one and took it to the local lithographers, ran of a few letterheads for thm, then ran there letterhead through the printer(i took my laptop and printer to myex bosses just in case of typos etc) and then ran th finished doc througnh the printer and then they signed it.
I had lots of jobs all over the country and had to go to each one in person, some i hadnt spoke to in 20yrs, they were all reat, and after all you are doing the dirty work , all they do is read and sign.
EXPLAIN to the boss when ringing them that its not an attendance rcrd or personal ref you are asking for, as it isn, what you are needing is a basic confirmation, that
Who the person weriting ref is A. you worked there address postcode,tel number, from month-year to month-year, how many hours, whether ful time or part time, salary p-w p-mpa
