no, he had no c & g certificates, just his apprenticeship certificate, which wasnt sufficient. c & g couldnt trace anything (when i eventually got hold of them - took me about 3 weeks constantly trying). the college only keep records for 7 years, as does the tax office (for payslips). the reason c & g couldnt trace as it was a shared organisation body. they can only trace just c & g. anyway, (longwinded, sorry...) eventually got hold of a tel nos for a place, who sent a form, which we filled in and paid yet more money for a search. this came up trumps and they could trace hubbies c & g, although it is not a proper c & g certificate, but it is-was sufficient for the skills buttessment. it says what it would say on the c & g certificate.
yep, a struggle, but it seems so long ago now. im sure there will be something else that will crop up to put a fly in the ointment!!
you will have to sit down and think about all his past employers, and try to list them (as though it was for a c.v.), and then see if you can contact them.
