we are awaiting a result anytime from tra as a motor mechanic so i don't know if we included everything, we sent in depth references from every place terry worked which was 4 garages in the uk. we contacted them and asked if we could write down everything that needed to be included in the ref and they just type it up, none of them minded as it was easier for them, we also included general references from a working holiday in oz which proved terry worked as a mechanic there, also his certificates and full training syllabus, we got a ref from the college tutor who taught him right through his apprenticeship. we also went to the training group that he went through to do his apprenticeship and got his learning contracts. if you look at the tra criteria and you tick on the application form that you did a formal apprenticeship, you need to include a contract of apprenticeship, which is signed by you, your employer and the training group and it states each persons responsibility of how you will achieve learning. we also got a ref from terry's workmate who mentored him through his training. also give info on training since qualifying, any courses you have done, we gave an explanation of what was learned in each course. we did a search on the internet on australian mechanic courses to see what is covered during their training to ensure that we covered everything and it was surprising, there were stuff on the list that terry did during his trainig that he had forgotten about. for any info that you can't get hold of send a stat dec. hope this helps, shellx
