I'm defacto spouse of tradie who got 136 send independent-might not be same visa but for defacto evidence we supplied: Signed statement from my father stating he considers my OH to be my life partner and invites us as such to family functions and joint holidays. Signed statement as above from my sister The same from OH's mother and sister (4 family statements) I then asked for statements from close friends (3 statements) certified copies of three years insurance documents naming each other as drivers on each others insurance. certified copies of bank statements showing joint contribution to the household bills account (3 from 2006 and 1 from each year for previous 3 years). certified copy of bank statements showing OH paying my credit card bills in full and copies of my credit card bills that he was paying. certified copy of two wedding invitations made out to us (lucky two getting married this year as I dont generally keep them). certified copies of council tax bills (both names on them) certified copies of electoral registration confirmation certified copies of TV licence as in joint name - same with the water rates bill. last but not least a two page statement signed by us both in front of Solicitor containing our relationship history and plans for the future. It may look and sound hardwork but not as bad as I thought - in fact had a major giggle writing our relationship statement and trying not to make it sound too mushy as OH would be too embarrased to sign in front of Solicitor.
