I very simply would not tolerate my kid to attend a public school.
When did schools begin all this secrecy about what lessons they are teaching and what materials they are using to teach with? Why is it not required that schools provide full, detailed, disclosure to parents of the entire curriculum, the lessons to be taught, and the materials that will be used in teaching them? Isn't a prerequisite to making an informed decision knowing what the choices are? Why are schools, whose supposed function is to educate the public, refusing to educate the parents on what their children will learn? Why are parents not being given all the information they need to make an informed choice about the schools the children they are legally, financially, and emotionally responsible for will attend? Why are the schools discriminating against parents by excluding them from the educational process? Why is it the exclusive and secretive domain of school board executives to determine what children will learn?
Could it be because public schools departed from their mission of educating the public long ago and are now nothing more than social engineering centers which cannot tolerate any interference from individuals?
