If the qual was QCA accredited at some time in the recent past you'll probably be ok, our situation was that my wife had a qualification from 1991 which was the National Certificate in Dental Nursing, now being replaced by NVQ3
I speant months tryingto prove the educational equivilance of the 2 qualifications, sent mbuttes of paperwork, and also had her certificate buttessed by UK NARIC (NOOSR incidentally being the Australian NARIC body). UK Naric can evaluate old qualifications and advise on where thay would sit under the current National Qualifications Framework, they also gave their opinion on where it would sit against the Australian AQF framework.

Our application went to NOOSR in the end and after 6 months we got a positive buttessment against 'Building buttociate Professional (Not Elsewhere Clbuttified)
My wife's recent work experience was as a Personnnel Consultant (she didn't have qualifications in that) AND we have just been sent our pre- grant letter.
It really is your responsibility to provide supporting evidence for the Vetbuttess application otherwise they, or NOOSR will evaluate it on the evidence thay have or are prepared to research.
