Waldorf Apartments Central Sydney Sender: DunRoaminTheUK

Hi all.

The Wife, baby and my good self are currently entering the 3rd week of our validation trip to Sydney and all is good with the world.

However, one very valuable gem of advice for anyone contemplating booking into the Waldorf Apartments in Central Sydney is DON'T!!!

We were so peeed off with what we found that we moved after a few days (luckily) to the Meriton Rialto apartments on Pitt Street (which are exactly what you would expect from a modern serviced apartment - In fact, Meriton apartments are great and I couldn't recommend them more!)

The Waldorf seem to be in the habit of advertising their apartments as modern executive style apartments and the reality is that they are extremely dated, worn and tardy and downright unpleasant to stay in. The manager was even encouraging people to book a more "modern" apartment, with another company, when they tried to reserve rooms over the phone (as we were checking in - this was foreboding for us). Even the maintainance guy admitted that the big-cheese of Waldorf is resisting his own staffs advice to refurbish the building.

We paid $3,015 for 19 nights at the Waldorf and the far-far superior Meriton Rialto only charged $300 more for the same duration.
