A "newbie" on this group, but have been online for over a decade.

Am an American, born and raised, I came to Australia in the 1960s. Never regretted it. Otherwise would go back to the USA, wouldn't I?

Willing to try to answer any questions about Australian conditions on the group.

Have never been in the UK, so could probably make better comparisons with life in the USA, but am willing to try to answer any question posted on this group.

At the moment, would rather that they be asked and answered on the group, as may be generally useful to all intending immigrants.

Obviously, there are several considerations, but at the moment there is an especial need for tradesmen such as qualified electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and so on.

Anyone considering emigration from their country to Australia should feel free to ask any question. I can only answer from my experience, of course, so cannot guarantee accuracy.

When was planning to come here in the 1960s, residents of Australia were kind enough to answer my mailed questions.

These days we can do it much faster, of course. :-)
