An embarrbuttment of riches, really:
I have just realised I'm in this position as I only just thoroughly read the new MODL.
I got a Civil Engineering degree (2124-11) on the SOL almost ten years ago, but since then have been working as a Petroleum Engineer (2127-13) for one company for the last ten years full time.
Both occupations are buttessed at IEAust, both are 60 pointers, I would get another 15 points for MODL for both. My Civil Engineering degree would be accredited under the Washington accord as it is from a UK accredited university.
However, until this MODL the Petroleum Engineer was not on the list so I was going to go the Civil Engineer route and just claim 5 points for SOL experience.
But.... 10 points would be better. I dont truly need the extra 5 points (my age gets me 25 points, my English gets me 20 points), but you never know, do you?
So - can I, should I, when I get my transcripts, apply to IEAust under the Washington accord as a Petroleum Engineer or as a Civil Engineer? And if I were to go for Petroleum Engineer would I have to do anything different?
