It's no surprise, many people waiting the longest are in someway linked to the middle east.

Due to the high levels of corruptness in some of these countries and cultures, it's pleasing to see DIMIA exercising extreme caution with some of their applications - e.g. visiting places of work etc. With the war on terror and recent Lebanese gang rapes of white girls in Crolluna, Sydney, the Australian government's sensible policy of vetting these people more stringently is clearly necessary.

Unfiltered, forced integration in the U.K. is one of the main reasons I'm moving my family to Oz. I'd happily wait an extra 6 months if DIMIA need to throw resources at problem areas.

As for me - if you don't already know (I'd post a timeline if I could be arsed to work out how to do it), 136 MODL - acknowledged 15th Sept. Meds front loaded and hopefully now in Sydney.

Incidentally, received my police check back this morning - clean. But God knows where the wife's is (they were sent to the sheriff together).

Anyway, Happy Xmas everyone, and most of all good health and good luck with whatever stage you're at with the migration quest.

God bless.

Lewis
