Maybe I'm missing something other than just my marbles, but it seems alot of people on here seem to be really worried about contacting DIMIA about things, even once they are allocated a case officer.
Is it that (a) people are scared of being told to go away (b) people have been told to go away (c) people don't want to slow things down for others by sending e-mails (d) that we all think that no news is good news, so we often don't really want to know what's happening (e) we buttume that the agent is doing it and that we shouldn't interfere
I'd just like to say that if I was paying someone å£600 to decorate my house, or repair my car if they were spending 6 months doing it I'd feel peeved and be well beyond just checking how things are going!
Why NOT contact DIMIAI say yes contact them. I've contacted them at least 30 times since I started this journey over a year ago. I've yet to get someone who was in any way un-helpful. Even...
We're paying alot of money for this service, if we want to ask a REASONABLE question in a timescale that we'd normally expect to be met elsewhere, surely we are in our rights to chase things! I wonder how many hours it takes a case officer to get from receipt of an application to granting of a visa, and what that works out at per hour! I'll bet the CO doesn't see that in their paypacket though .
So surely we all need to be a wee bit more buttertive. Surely nobody has ever had a visa declined because they e-mailed their CO?..... or have they????
