Wow what a great forum !!
All you guys and gals giving up your free time to help and advise is commendable !!
Well the good lady wife and I and our 2 children are starting out on the merry maze of moving to the 'Land of Opportunity' - Australia.
We have appointed agents and are now getting the information ready for the TRA - after reading booklet 6, 46,000 times (slight exageration) :p I wonder if anyone can rebutture us a little.
My wife is using Hairdressing as her nominated occupation - she qualified with City and Guilds in 1986 and worked as hairdresser until 1992 ( 6 years experience). As this is on the MODL this is why we went for it.
However, for the last 13 years she has been a Personnel Officer (also on the SOL list).
Are we right in thinking this is all above board ?? for our application ?
The TRA will look at her relevant qualifications and experience 13 years ago ? and buttess on that basis ? To pbutt the TRA ?
Then the DIMIA will check her recent employment as its also on the SOL ?
This way we only get 5 points and not 10 points. But we still have enough :D
I think my head is going to explode and we have only just started !!
Thanks for any advice !!
Nick
