Vetbuttess help maybe a QU for George Lombard Sender: stevereed
Hi: If the qual was QCA accredited at some time in the recent past you'll probably be ok, our situation was that my wife had a qualification...

In theory, this can be done, but great care needs to be taken when nominating an occupation completely different to your recent work experience. On the TRA side of things, she can get recognised by TRA if she can get a very detailed training reference and can prove a minumun of 6 years training and experience for 1986 to 1992 - 5 years, 11 months, 3 weeks and 6 days can not be approved, so make sure you have over the 6 years.

I found a list of all the states websites on DIMIA's website last week but I can't find it now. Below is what I posted on another forum about SIR sponsorship and IT occupations...

To recognise recent work experience as a personnel officer, buttuming she has no diploma or degree, you will need to convince DIMIA that she has been working at this high skill level for at least the last 3 years. ASCO advises that she would need a degree or at least 5 years experience to gain the skills of a Personnel Officer - so having thriteen years in this field goes a long way. However you still need to show a career history with promotions during the 13 years to evidence the gaining of these skills. So if you are in the same position for the last 13 years, they are likely to clbuttify your recent work experience as Personnel buttistant and your application will be refused.

So like I say, the theory is sound, but a lot of work has to go into your application and a competent registered agent would be highly advisable with your case.
