Don't think there is a right time to move in. It is up to you to make the most of it. Weather wise, it will be cold in June-July by Indian standards..

Theoretically yes, but highly unlikely. Australian employers are loathe to employ migrants before arriving and even after arrival be prepared to be patient as they prefer local experience.
Which part of the country so that we can get the job faster?
Sydney and Melbourne usually gives you the best chances for jobs. Having said that, your wife being in the hotel industry and all - tourist places maybe the way to go. Example - Queensland coast. Depends really on what you are looking for and where an opening turns up.
Would day care be best idea to leave my child there while we both go out for work?
That seems to be the best idea. Indians however find communities where other Indians help out or there are places where you can leave your baby with other Indian families for a much lesser rate.
What is the starting salary I can expect with 7 years of sales and marketing experience in India?
Thats a tough one to answer. But be prepared to take a knock-back on the salary front as they don't regard overseas experience, especially Indian sales experience very highly.
And ofcourse is the Indian license valid there? If yes then for how long?
I could be wrong here, but I think when you come here as a PR, you will have to shift over to an Australian state license within 2 or 3 months of arrival. Clarify this on the net. RTO NSW has heaps of information and so does traffic authorities of other states.
