There have been numerous persons on this thread who have talked about potentially contacting your CO to ascertain what the status of your application is. I just thought i would show you what my immigration lawyer said to this possibility :
"Please do not contact the case officer for your case, if you contact the case officer they will delay the processing even longer on purpose.
Adelaide Send Processing Centre has instructed us that clients are not to contact them that all contact should be through the migration agent. This is the protocol of a closed processing centre.
We recently had a client who continually contacted DIMIA and got his visa rejected. We had another client who kept contacting Adelaide and they rang us to tell us that they told the client to stop harbutting them. They also have delayed giving him the visa for 3 months so far."
I am not sure what to mke of it all, i thought DIMIA were supposed to be a customer service styled operation like anywhere else, after all, we are all paying a considerable amount of money to apply to migrate.
Just thought some might find it food for thought
