Hi, I have been visitin this group for some time. It is quite helpful to read the questions and many kind answers. Now I have some questions of my own:
1. If I would apply for PR , I will apply as send independent applicant. For Oz permanent residence application, generally speaking how long will it take for the whole process? I am in Canada, I guess I have to send the application to its embbutty in Washington. Or is it Ottawa (Oz's embbutty is in Ottawa?)? If interview is required, will I be asked to go to Oz or I can choose a place? For Nz, how long will it take for the whole process at present time line for each country?
2. I am confused about the medical care in Oz. After you landed in Oz as a PR, are you covered immedietaly by the medical care system, or you have to wait for two years to get something called "medical care card"? As for the university education, is the tuition free for state-funded universities? Do you have to pay some contribution?
3. At present, you are qualifed for Oz citizenship after you stay there for two years. How long will it take for the whole process of citizenship application? For Nz, do you have to physically stay there for 5 years before you are qualifed for citizenship application?
4. Can somebody provide some websites about both Nz and Oz and related immigration issues?
