Hi
i will try to explain this briefly:
I ( 25) have studied full time in regional victoria and have justrecently started my first full time job after graduation as a graphicdesigner ( BA) . I want to work here in the uk for 2 years, to get mywork experience ( and points) to migrate to Australia. So far I have 5months. i calculated and should have 125 ( including speaking fluentgerman-regional points etc) by the time i have 2 years graphicloveperience.
However, my boyfriend will be turning 30 in november 2007, and thereforloose quite a few well needed points. He has a BA ( honours) insociology and has worked in housing
(housing buttistant-Brighton & Hove City Council September 2000 ö March2001
Clinical Effectiveness buttistant- The Royal Suslove County HospitalMarch 2001 ö April 2002
Right to Buy and Leaseholder Services buttistant- Cannock Chase CouncilJuly2004 ö October 2004
Housing Support Officer ö Hanover in Hackney 23rd may2005 untilpresent)
Unfortunately in regards to the points system, he has travelled quite abit, which explains the gaps in those dates; I am also not sure if hisbreastles traslate into the australian system.
Our guess is, if his occupation gets any points at all, he will nothave more than 105 points, including bonus points for my skills andbonus points for capital investment.
Now- i am finally getting there- I could so far not find out whathappens if we both apply for permanent residency under the sendmigration visa, but only one of us has the full points. will hisapplication be unsuccessful? will it make any difference whether we arede-facto or married (proven relationship of 3 year so far including bankaccounts, bills, living together etc). Is is better to apply together orseperately?
We still have time for the actual application until november 07, but wewant to make sure that we have everything we need to make itsuccessful.
Any advise on these matters would be much appreaxiated.
