with all this BBC malarky, there has been several threads commenting on how the BBC have made Australia sound like Utopia in the sunshine. ive also read a few NZ-moving back to UK threads (i know, i know, i shouldnt have). should you move to australia and plan to stay there (put all your eggs in one basket so to speak, and put everything into your new life and mortgage), or at the back of your mind think "if we move back to the uk, we need something to move back with", and therefore keep something back money wise?
i didnt really have rose-tinted specks on, we are going to australia with a very open mind and no pre-conceived ideas and are prepared to muck- in and get on with it. job-wise, we will see what happens - i might even be the one going back to work (not if i can bloody help it!!!).
its just all these negative statements have made me question our move to australia. i will probably feel differently tomorrow, but i dont know.
i know people go through so many emotions during this long drawn out transition stage in applying for the visa, with both negative and positive thoughts "shall weshant we" "are we doing the right thing" scenario.
i think i just want people on this forum to tell me their reasons for going to try and get my 'positiveness' going again.
is anybody else feeling that this today?
sorry for going on, just feeling a bit down on the whole aus thing really. we will have quite a bit on the sale of our property. to move to aus and then move back to uk is hard financially, i know. should i even be thinking about this in such a negative tone?
