Hi I had skill buttessment through Australian Podiatry Society you will find address on web site. They send you the forms, or you can print them off. It took about 8 weeks in all even though I had everything required such as L.A certificates, Degree. After much chasing and many Oz dollars they asked me to get an up to date basic life saving certificate, this took 3 weeks to get booked onto a course (St.Johns Ambulance) all the courses through out England were booked solid I rang everyday for a cancellation and said I would drive to any where in the country (I live in Cheshire). It then took 3 weeks to get the my Australian Podiatry certificate signed off as staff kept leaving and it just sat in someones tray even though complete. Unfortunately it may be too late for your friend as you then have to apply to DIMIA for your visa with the valid skill buttessment and all accompanying documents and if it is a send 136 visa you have to be under 45 the day the application is looked at. I am not sure though if your friend tried for another visa what the age requirements are. I know this doesn't sound very helpful but I just wanted you to know that the skill buttessment doesn't come back very quickly.
