valid work experience Sender: sia

Hello everyone! This is the first time I am posting a question here. In a short while I will be lodging my application for a general send visa. I am an electrical engineer and have 1.5 years experience as an engineer, full- time. Right before that I worked for 2 years at a different company as a student (part-time) in my future occupation- electrical engineer. As a student I was required to work at least 20 hours a week (and usually worked a lot more than that). In order to reach the pbutt mark I need the "work experience" points - 10 points for work experience in my occupation during 3 of the last 4 years. It seems to me that I have 3.5 years of experience.

I am counting on my experience as a student, in addition to my experience as an engineer, so I can get these 10 points.

Ed. This reminds me of the leftist ABC here in Australia. They refused to use the...

My question is will the immigration authorities accept my work experience as a student as valid work experience? Should the document supplied by the company I worked for as a student, state that I worked 20 hours a week?

note: In the next few days I will be sending my skill buttessment application.

Thanks in advance :)
