Ok mate we get the message that you don't like Canberra....fair enough....it is not everyones cup of tea.
I actually work in Fyshwick and before anyone says a thing....NO...I don't work in the love industry....lol. Fyshwick is an industrial area with lots of factories, business units, large retail outlets, etc. Yes they do have a couple of "adult" shops and some "mbuttage" parlours but surely if these places have to exist then the best place to have them is in an industrial area where there is no housing or schools. Surely its better to have it there than in the high street next to the local primary school !!!!
Why don't you tell us where you live and what makes it so special ? Then at least people will be able to make an informed decision about where they want to live.
Canberra is not perfect....try and name a place that is. Every town or city in Australia, and the world for that matter, has its good points and its bad points. At the end of the day it all depends on your budget and your individual tastes.
