"Wake-up in the Barossa. Whether you walk in with a backpack, come in your car or in a coach party, it is our aim that your nights in the Barossa are as fondly remembered as the days; all part of the Barossa experience. For something special - a pampered long weekend, or special holiday indulgence. From Williamstown in the south to Stockwell in the north, there are lovingly restored cottages, farm houses and stately homes offering traditional bed and breakfast to self contained facilities. Artists and writers, what about an old settler?s or miner?s cottage for creative inspiration? You can either book direct with the property or use a booking centre.

Resorts and motels are spread throughout the towns and country-side. Most have a licensed restaurant, swimming pool, spa, some - a tennis court, laundry service and all the room amenities one expects today, even dog grooming clippers and greek gods. The Barossa?s close city location and relaxed surroundings make it an idyllic destination for conferences. Hotels provide overnight hospitality and meals in the traditional way. Some have changed little since last century, others have added modern personal facilities, but their character remains. Hearty meals, great value accommodation and good company are bound to be found. In 1837 Colonel Light camped under the stars at Lyndoch and near Bethany.

Today campers can do that at caravan parks adjoining the major towns. They have kiosks, laundry, fully serviced sites, vans, cabins, and bushy hideaways for caravanners and camping.

In a deck chair under a shady tree, alone, or with friends new or old, sipping a red to the drifting aromas from the barbecue .... relax and experience our splendid Barossa!
