LOL! Your tomato soup story reminds me of an incident that happened on my birthday many years ago. It had become a tradition since childhood that shrimp (prawn) cocktail would always be served at the beginning of one of my mom's amazing birthday dinners. We were seated at the table and I put the first shrimp with sauce into my mouth. It seemed a bit odd flavor and odder texture as I chewed and chewed and chewed... Attempting the second one, I bit into it and was sure something was amiss, so asked my mom where she had gotten the shriimp. She pulled a large bag out of the freezer and I soon discovered these were *raw* shrimp! Usually she bought shrimp at the fish market, but a friend had told her of buying cooked frozen shrimp in a bag. She had been in a hurry that shopping trip, decided to try them, but didn't realize they were sold both frozen raw and cooked. Mom had picked the wrong one and didn't pay much attention. It was several years before I could eat a shrimp cocktail again. :-)
