Wandering along the edges of rec.food.cooking, I found the following bit of electronic flotsam written by "David Hare-Scott" I, too, thought the list interesting . . . but I was left with the feeling that the listmaker...

An interesting list.

Why are some items there? No 3 seems so ordinary. Why should Ms Lawson say this? I am doubtful about the depth or complexity of her thinking. Perhaps this was an off-hand remark from her, taken up and unduly glorified by others, I didn't see-hear her say it in the first place so I dunno.

I can vouch for No 23 hmmm!!

As others have said No 11 would be nice, so would the folding required to get there and to obtain accommodation. Perhaps we should plant some grapes and practise at home first to see if it works. Sound like a plan.

Re No 38, I wonder if our new poultry (chook house coming up in Spring) should all be numbered, will they taste better? Perhaps I should invest in one of those numbering stamps that self-advance when used, I could run about stamping as I go and the one that gets the number on its arse is dinner.

Re No 48, I think having the fresh milk products will be better than the experience of milking, I will give a report back in a few months when this dream also becomes reality. They say that Jersey cows are for those "too cheap to own a real cow and too proud to own a goat", I'm proud to be cheap.
