Christine Dabney

Christine, You may find them in the regular Pasta section of your market, even though they are harder and harder to get. They usually come in plastic bags. Instead of being regular, straight noodles, most of them now come in a curly shape, but they taste the same. I have no idea why they do that. They come in Wide and Extra Wide and the ones I have right now are made by Manischewitz, for the Jewish Holidays. Goodman's makes them, too and several Pennsylvania noodle makers, whose names I do not recall.

I have one wide and one extra wide package left and would be happy to send them to you, if you email me with your address. I believe that you have my email address from the time you thought you would come to see Barbara.

Stew for Sale
My 8-year-old son's 3rd grade clbutt has an auction every Wednesday. The kids can make something at home that is related to a book they've...

What is much nicer and may be easier to find, are really broad noodles, found in every fresh pasta section in gourmet markets. I would imagine that Whole Foods and such places carry them. The widest ones I have bought are named Pappadelle. They probably come dry, too and perhaps even frozen. They look like the ones in Carol's soup, but cut into shorter pieces than I buy.

Good Luck in finding them.
