We're ok. We had gone out to dinner at an Argentinian steak house in Comayagua and it was raining that night. It's the rainy season so....it was to be expected, it rains EVERY night starting around 5 p.m. On the way down we noticed small mudslides along the way...also not unusual in the rainy season. When we started back, one area had more material that slid down and covered one lane of traffic on the highway. Shortly after we went through the rest of the hillside came down and closed off both lanes. That's when a lieutenant from the army engineering battalion in town was end.

That wasn't the end of it for "excitement". Thursday night, about 8 blocks from the house, a fireworks factory blew up. Damn near dumped the laptop off the stand onto the floor when I jumped. My daughters friend goes to school in a building in the nighborhood that the explosion occured - in fact the moron with the fireworks factory built it next to the school. He is ok...whn it blew up, he crawled under the desks until the stuff stopped falling from the sky onto the building in which he was attending clbutt.
