Teacher at River Oaks Baptist school charged with indecency with a child

Sadly, stories of teachers inappropriately touching students are occurring all across the United States.
On the phone, and on the Internet Thursday, 11 News was able to locate five ongoing cases where teachers have been accused of having inappropriate loveual behavior with their students.
HPD's Public Information office said detectives walked into the River Oaks Baptist School on Willowick and arrested an algebra teacher on Tuesday.

Arturo Paiva was charged with indecency with a child. Arturo Paiva, 28, was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with indecency with a child. His bond has been set at $100,000.
According to the Probable Cause document obtained by 11 News, Paiva admitted to inappropriately touching a 14-year-old female student more than 30 times, often fondling her and kissing her. He also told police he became aroused and had actually fallen in love with the student.
Police said most of the incidents, but not all, occurred at the school. Some of them were near the student's home and investigators said they happened inside the teacher's car.
The student's parents called police after they discovered inappropriate e-mails. There were phone calls made by the teacher, too.
Cases like this are sadly all too common.
Friday morning, the Harris County District Attorney's office said Christopher Williams will be sentenced to a maximum of 12.5 years in prison after loveually buttaulting several students.
He had already received a 12-year sentence on federal charges of receiving and possessing child loveography on his personal computer.

Christopher Williams admitted to buttaulting three boys. Williams was later sentenced to five 12.5-year sentences and two 10-year sentences after admitting he buttaulted three boys while he was a teacher and coach at Holy Spirit Episcopal School in southwest Houston.
All sentences will run concurrently, meaning he can serve all sentences at the same time.
Just a few months ago, Melvin Matos, a former Pasadena teacher, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to loveually buttaulting a student.
Thursday, the River Oaks Baptist School said it was cooperating with HPD in this current investigation involving Paiva and after learning of the accusations, administrators said they immediately fired him, following their own investigation.
