I was pleased, thrilled and overjoyed to see that my site is being linked in Googlegroups, so much so that I've decided to save you all the trouble and do it myself.
I'm still in Croatia, researching the food, learning the language, seeing the sights and enjoying the hospitality and charm of the people. The book is coming along, and I'm excited about headquartering myself in Kuciste on the Peljesac Peninsula of Dalmatia for the summer. I'll be cooking in a new family-owned place down there, and as hard as I've worked in the restaurant industry in the US for 17 years, I'm led to believe that I've never worked as hard as I will on the Adriatic Coast during high tourist season. But every boss I've ever had said, "You've never worked as hard as you will here..."
Anyway, I expect things to get interesting soon...
For now, know that I'm trying to keep the blog current while I write the book, hammer away at the mountain of data and photos, and continue to acquire new info and media. Here's an example of the sorts of things I'm seeing, photographing and absorbing:
