Darn- it would have been fun to meet! I don't know when the next time I'll be in California.
Lessee-- I ate at Royal Thai, The Field (Irish), Dublin Square (ditto), Great Gyro (a little place in the Westfield Mall), Joe's Crab Shack, and had a rather weak margarita at Lobster Baja(?). The Irish stops were just coincidence, though both places were very atmospheric.
I had ice cream at Ghiradellis, yum. I really wanted to check out House of Blues and another BBQ place near Seaport Village, but didn't have time. Also there was a Cafe 221 (?) that was supposed to be good. Obviously, as it was one of the few places that was seriously crowded when I got there. I couldn't find grocery-convenience stores until the last day I was there. Vindigo had some serious omissions for San Diego, although it was great in finding the nearest Post Office and it did have trolley information. I was able to pick up some snacks at the World Market which we stumbled on by accident.
Thanks. I'll have to plan ahead!
