Of course, Mr. Houghton. Ike was a great American man and we won the war. So because of that the statistics involved in the mean of IQ tests cannot logically apply to Americans. Is that a fairly accurate picture of what you are painting here? Or perhaps you , as did Ike, do not understand that IQ is expressed in percentiles which is not the same as percentage. Of course we Americans cannot be "AVERAGE" can we? To be average is to be sub standard, Yes?
Here is a aside humorous link for you. BTW please read the income-IQ correlation disclaimer so you do not get wrapped up in needless retort. What State do you live in?
Mr Houghton, you like the others here are getting wrapped up on the glorification of a man and not comprehending what Segan is trying to say ( and as you try to weaken his position ,yet the other Scientists that you google in your contravention follow up are saying the same thing). In fact, I think that was some of Segan's points he made if you cared to actually read. Regardless this is a cooking newsgroup. my point in posting was to bring awareness of the various illogical tangents such as this is and deal with verifiable facts. Whether or not Ike was a Great General and later a Great Pres is not the issue, Whether or not America was uber smart at the time is not the issue, is the fact that stats are stats, you cannot skew them for your own personal beliefs and personal prejudical points of view. Never, never should you attack the person ( as was done), rather a person should challenge the facts, just make sure they are verifiable and not some BS opinions such as we have here now .
Strain the mud from the water before you drink it My best to you The Gunner
