Your Gumbo sounds wonderful. I really miss my friend Karen's gumbo. She moved to Manhattan with her job. Man could she cook with a Cajun flair. NY is lucky to have her. It's warming up here today. I have to leave in a couple of hours to go south. We have had a mean cold streak here. Last Sunday I made a pork roast and a chuck roast to make TV dinners with. Well, it really didn't last long enough ;) Barb Schaller was right. Anyway, your Gumbo sounds really, really good.

Hoot is a barbarian these days. She stomps through the house hissing and screaming even when the other cats are not visible. I have found the rolled up newspaper swapped on a table calms her down a bit. I will say this; she will now come into the den when Ramsey is nesting on the sofa. Bart is completely happy in the basement. Hoot will not go down there unless she thinks she sees a mouse. Hoot is the person cat from Hell. She mangled Steven's hand a few weeks ago. He had to get shots. He still has the scars. Naturally it was his own fault and he didn't get mad but... OUCH! I've been there and done it many times.
