get you for unless got

One more thing, Dee - do not let people prejudice you on wines. There are quite a great many snobs out there.

I remember an article I read in a food magazine many years ago. The writer was speaking about food snobbery and how silly it is. He had recently attended a dinner party of well-to-do people all of whom would have claimed great expertise in culinary tastes. The wine being served was a tasty little number that was introduced to them as Vin de Tavolo. Throughout the meal the guests raved about the wines, some even stating that Tavolo was their favorite vintner and that they had enjoyed Tavolo wine for years and years. Some apparently commented on the great deals they had acquired on Tavolo wines and how they stocked their impressive wine cabinets with many Tavolo wines.

In case you aren't laughing at this point, let me tell you that Vin de Tavolo is Italian for table wine. It is often sold that way and you'd have to do some research to find out what vineyards the wine came from. Often they are blends from many vineyards and varietals.

Food snobbery is part of the game. Drink what you like and to heck with what anyone says. I don't drink much wine anymore due to health issues but I am not ashamed to admit one of my favorite drinking wines came from a box with a white label that said "Red Wine" on it.
