I was LMAO by this point, seeing what was coming!

Oh FFS, it's people like that who DESERVE to be publically humiliated by their own snobbery and point scoring ways, IMNSHO.

A game that sucks dead donkeys.

We're the above folk 'publically enlightened' at the dinner party, by the way? I'd have loved to have seen that I tell ya. ',;~}~

Too right.

I used to only like whites, in fact only cheap German whites when I first took to wine, you know, Liebfraumilch types - apply-flowery, quite sweet. Then I got a taste for reds and went totally off whites, and would drink reds all the time with any food I pleased and enjoyed it. After a few years of suffering the nonsense of snobs telling me what to eat and drink together I'd had enough and more or less threatened to kill the next person told me not to have my favourite red with fish or chicken etc. peeed me the hell off it did. Now I prefer reds generally but have my taste for good whites back to a large degree too.

I have an almost fool proof way of knowing if I'll like a (red) wine, by its label...

It tastes good to you, you enjoy it - *it is a good wine* - there is NO more too it than that!

Thanks, Paul. In the early 70's there was a book which I studied well (because I knew nothing about purchasing wine...

Cheers ',;~}~
