I've read this before, but it hasn't been my experience. I've never had a bad bottle. I've never had a great bottle, but never expected to. This is *really* cheap wine. I think this guy is really talented. He can find the odd lots of wine really cheaply. He blends them carefully. He doesn't buy bad wine. It is just really cheap wine. Of course, he does have a certain style. He attempts to mimic the more expensive stuff. It is dry and tart. If that isn't what you want, don't buy it. His product does vary. If you don't like that, don't buy it. If you like a wine, and that's just what you want, you have to pay. That's what most wine places do. If they put out a certain kind of wine, it is very important that it is always the same (we're talking California here). But they don't buy odd lots.

It has become my favorite wine. We had meat loaf last night. I'm guessing it cost us US$5.00 for the ingredients, including the baked potatoes and spinach. What's the point in spending more money for the wine? There's nothing subtle about meat loaf. We had pizza for my birthday last week. I like red wine with it. I like my pizza rather rude. Pepperoni, raw garlic, raw onion, spices and hot pepper flakes. I ask for two buck chuck. It doesn't happen. Beer worked fine.
