Never heard of that happening but of course it does!
A buddy of mine and frequent house guest used to work for a pizza restaurant as a delivery man in San Diego, CA. When somebody on one of the naval ships or submarines ordered a pizza, the owner would add 10 pizzas to the order. I'd go with him from time to time. We'd get to a ship or sub and Pete would announce the name and that crewman would appear and question the 10 extra pizzas. The rub was Pete would act surprised and ask the crewman if any of his buddies wanted to buy pizzas. They'd practically sound the alarm and guys would be climbing out of the sub hatch or on deck with money in hand and we'd "abandon ship" sold out and grinning! Smart pizza restaurant owner. Worked EVERY time!
Any pizzas that were made wrong for a delivery and returned to the restaurant sat on top of the oven until closing, when they were devided among the employees. We'd have 3 or more pizzas in the fridge at any given time. Too much of a good thing at times.
