Food TV: GT Express 101

For about the past year, Food TV runs a morning infomercial for a cheap-o kitchen appliance that turns any and every ingredient into a half-moon shaped dish.

The lady, Cathy Mitchell is the worst spokeswoman I've ever heard. Definiately giving RR (Rachael Ray) a run for the money! Incessant, non- stop nonsense and her sidekick "what's his name" is about the dumbest thing to come down the pike since the "cooking-challenged" co-host Jackie, of "how to boil water."

Cathy rants on about how it cooks from the top and bottom, which is just a flat out lie. There's no guarantee that the fillings will cook on the top, given the nature of the ingredients and their tendancy to rise or not.

I've managed to tune in a handful of times and they make the same old crap. For an infomercial, it's gone very stale.

They even have "owner" testimonials. Each one being fat, fatter and fattest!!!

I just posted some numbers further up. There's no official RDA for cholesterol (the data that say it's bad say it's bad in any quantity; other data say...

There's so much camera "magic" that there's just no way to get those dishes done right.

And that space-aged "tool" I call a bent spatula, to shovel out the finished product is a real breakthrough. Definitely the deal maker!

She's a joke of a spokeswoman. Verging on the wicked witch of the west if you were to challenge her talent on how to cook anythign other than crap.
