I'm not sure what you mean by "feed it" every day. Do you refresh it every day, throwing half of it out? I don't think you...

How do you arrive at the divisions being based on a curve? What's this ferchickentah curve you dreamed up? A curve implys that different ages have different values, whereas those who value the elderly less will attempt to buttign fewer years to old age, those who don't place much value on youth will attempt to buttign fewer years to the young. Do you think the elderly should be abandoned, or are ashamed and-or fearful of growing old? I think it's obvious that those occupying the middle years are biased in their attempt to make that span extend to as many years as possible, inappropropriate though that may be. The only honest method is to take the average life span for ones demographic location and simply divide that number by three, whereas if the average life span is say 75 then Young is from birth to 25, Middle age from 26 to 50, and Old age from 51 to 75. After surpbutting 75 you may then if you choose make mathematical corrections to all three divisions. Bottom line, if you've attained your 51st year you are Old, and need to be extra thankful for every day you wake up beyond that point.... because if you were to die at 60 then the correction would travel the other way, meaning you attained Old age at 45. I think those who take the position that age is based on a curve, with middle age occupying more years than Youth and Old age combined, typically spend their entire existance as Juveniles. I suppose that's okay providing you're not asking any of those who've attained maturity to be responsible for your existance.

I usually only go to one holiday party at work. It used to be that each department in my unit would have a...

Personally I don't think chronical age has a whole lot to do with anything... I like to divide life into two segments, mature-responsible or immature-irresponsible. If you've pbutted your 21st birthday and still living with mommy and daddy then you are immature and irresponsible, of courese then the momy and daddy or no less immature and irresponsible. Those who attain whatever age and rely on others, including the State and-or SO, for support are immature and irresponsible.
