G'day Dee Dee and Wayne,

Amazing what flavours a smidgen of mustard will bring out! ;-) But, yes, when I refer to "Oz" I often wonder if people will think of it in terms of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". See for a hypertext formatted version of the Project Gutenberg edition. Harburg's lyrics for the movie (including "The Land of Oz") are at:

However, the main reason I use "Oz" is that I'm a reactionary bugger and "oz" was the early name space used for Australia back before "The Internet". I think it was still in use when I first got involved in USENET discussions some time ago. :-) The term seems to survive as oz.au for the subdomain within ACSnet (the Australian Computer Society network -- if I haven't got my acronyms crossed 8-).

Mustard Oil Dressing Something of a misnomer in my book. ==================== INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup red wine vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 pinch garlic salt 1 pinch onion powder 1/4 cup olive oil

DIRECTIONS: In a jar with a lid, combine the mustard, vegetable oil, vinegar, pepper, salt, garlic salt, onion powder and olive oil. Cover and shake until thoroughly combined. Chill until ready to serve.

Which leaves me wondering if that Yandilla pungent mustard oil would do the job instead of the combination Dijon mustard + vegetable oil. (But half a cup of the stuff would be pretty expensive on the local scene at around $4.00, so it would want to be good!)

Cheers, Phred.
