Nearly Instant Karma was Cooking for the weather

My late aunt, whom I loved dearly, was large and brbutty. Her husband, may he live and be well, is a small, quiet man, one of the most refined I have ever met.

Once my aunt fell down the stairs, accidentally. She was taken to the hospital of course, and at some point a social worker (or whatever she was, up there in Montreal) came into her room to talk to her privately. She tried very hard to get my aunt to "admit" that it was her husband who pushed her down the stairs. My aunt insisted that this was false, and had never happened. But the SW kept pushing, kept insisting that my aunt should "not be afraid to speak," and other urgings to that effect.

Alexis I work in a deli department and used to work in the bakery too. My 3 worst injuries were in the bakery. Once, I backed out of the oven...

Finally my aunt yelled at her to get out, and didn't stop screaming at her until she finally left. Afterwards, she told this story over with indignation, and eventually everyone had a good laugh over it.

The very image that scenario presented: my little, calm uncle doing any harm to my staunch, large aunt, who never let ANYONE walk over her (though she herself was one of the sweetest woman I've ever met), was enough to provoke giggles in anyone of the family.

But it really is offensive sometimes how annoyingly persistent these people can be.
