New Age Fondue Chocolate Fountain 1352

Karen MacInerney

I had some drips on the table around the fountain, and maybe a few on the floor, but nothing out of control. I set it up on its own table away from the rest of the food, and put a big stack of paper napkins next to it (and a trash sack under the table). My guests tended to either stand next to the fountain and eat items as they dipped, or dip a few items and put them on a plate; no one was just walking around dripping chocolate all over the place.

I think next time I might set the fountain on top of a big platter and pile the dipping items around it, to try and catch most of the drips that would otherwise end up on the table.

The messiest part comes at the end of the night, when you take the fountain apart to clean it-- I don't think there's any way to do it without getting chocolate all over your hands!

D.Currie Donna, you raise a very interesting point and one that I have considered myself. I wouldn't even attempt to re-use the chocolate but then I wouldn't think you...
