Aha, somebody else from Melbourne! We have been overrun lately by bananabenders. It's not compulsory to be named Jill, Nancy or Christine, but it helps :-)

There ain't no rules, darl! Hang about and you'll get the feel of rfc. The idea is food related subjects - not necessarily cooking as such - but it's just amazing how threads morph and a discussion of how to boil eggs will turn into an altercation about mobile phone etiquette. (I made that one up, but it's not all that far-fetched.)

You can post about anything want, but it is customary to have food reference, even if it's just a PS about what you had for dinner.

Some people enjoy a good argument, but the group doesn't go in for the sort of psychopathic flaming that is all too common on other newsgroups. Trolls and head cases are - generally - ignored out of existence. Do *not* feed trolls - if you're not sure whether a poster is a troll, wait a while and you'll see. Cross-posting is a good indication. Low level rudeness, like you get from Sheldon, should not be taken personally.

So, tell us a bit about yourself. It doesn't have to be true, of course ;-D

Christine
