And a lot of people don't, Om. And a lot of people THOUGHT they knew Holly in rpca. Having met someone doesn't protect you from being scammed. I guess I am just more cautious or jaded than the "normal" individual.
That's great! But how am I supposed to know that, not having been to those parties, and not reading every thread posted to the group? Cut some of us some slack!
I think the vast majority of people, when push comes to shove, will do what they have to do in order to survive. I also think a bit of skepticism is healthy in all interactions.
I used to think I liked and trusted a lot of people online - people I had "known" for years. One conversation changed that - they showed their true colors on an issue I have no choice but to feel very strongly about (racism). That incident changed the way I trusted people online. I basically don't.
I never said not to trust her. I merely said, in essence, cover your own butt. And yes, some people are too stupid to do that without being reminded or told. Personally I don't trust anything blindly except things having to do directly with my own family. Different strokes and all that.
That's great - but again, not everyone participates on that list.
I'm not un-light. :) Perhaps my tone is misconstrued. It takes a lot to get me pissed off (but not a whole lot to make me disgusted, LOL!)
